Bride Bailey's From Black Road Borders aka Bailey
I'd like to introduce you to Bailey. She was born on June 24th 2011, first of a litter of 5 girls. Her parents are Look Back Fly from Let's Border and Pentwyncoch Eagan.
I was present for the birth, and I was very surprised at her color. There was only a very slim chance of anything other than black tri, and yet there she was, a lovely chocolate tri bitch.
When Bailey was young we followed several obedience-courses and we also took some Dogdance-classes. We had fun trying both, but in the end we decided to go with Dogfrisbee and herding.
Bailey is really passionate while playing Dogfrisbee and she's very eager to please. She shows the same characteristics while herding and has a nice working style.
Sadly both came to an abrupt end in April 2015 when she tore her ankle ligaments after stepping in a hole while herding. Rehabilitation took a long time, but Bailey bore it well, still being her relaxed and happy self even though exercise was of course very limited.
When she was mostly recovered we discovered Hoopers. It's a great alternative to the other sports we were doing before, less taxing physically but still a nice challenge mentally.
Luckily Bailey likes Hoopers as much as I do, and we recently won our first prize! Meanwhile we have also started playing Dogfrisbee again. We are taking it slow, and so far she's doing great and really happy to be playing again.
Bailey is a hard worker, with a big will-to-please. She's relaxed when at home where she'll be taking naps or chewing on a bone.
Preferably she would just cuddle up to you 24/7 and fall asleep while lying in your lap.
Bailey is friendly to other dogs, though she will mostly ignore them if it's up to her. She does love playing with familiar dogs, and playing tug with our other dogs is one of her favourite things to do.
On June 24th 2014 Bailey gave birth to 6 beautiful puppies. All of them are doing great in sports and their characters are everything I hoped for.
Bailey will have another litter in 2017/2018, please check our litter-planning for more information.
